When I but salmon fillets, I throw together a sort of free hand marinade that ususally tastes pretty good. Now this is not an actual recip, because I don't measure anything. I'll just tell you the stuff I put in most at the top.
Soy sauce or tamari(I prefer tamari)
Sesame oil or olive oil
Sherry
Honey
Garlic
Red Pepper flakes or a chopped jalapeno pepper(1/2 of one)
lemon or lime juice(or both)
I have also added a little tomatoe paste to this mixtur with good results.
Some herbs like basil or oregano would be good.

Play around with the combinations, but the first five indgredients are key

Also, put the indgredients together on top of the fish and marinate in the fridge for atlest 30 minutes. Atleast while your coals are getting hot.

Our whole family loves salmon and we enjoy it this way often.

Happy Grilling!!!
