ONE-BOWL CHOCOLATE CAKE
2 cups all-purpose flour 2 cups sugar 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 2 teaspoons baking soda 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup vegetable oil 1 cup buttermilk 2 eggs 1 cup hot water Frosting of your choice Colored sprinkles (optional)
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Stir in oil, buttermilk and eggs. Add 1 cup hot water and stir until combined. Pour into a greased 13x9x2-in baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 35-38 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on a rack.
Frost cooled cake and decorate with sprinkles if desired.
