Tom, not sure this is what your looking for but I have had this recipe for years and they are always a big hit and go fast
OLIVE CHEESE BALLS
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, room temperature 2 tablespoons butter, room temperature 1/2 cup flour dash cayenne pepper 25 medium-size green or black pitted olives, well drained
Cream together well the cheese and butter. They mix better if the cheese is room temperature. Mix in flour and pepper.
Wrap a teaspoon of dough around the olives. Cover the olives thoroughly. Chill for 1 hour to harden the butter.
Bake in 400 degree F oven for 15 minutes or til golden brown or deep fry til golden brown in hot oil.
