CHERRIES IN A CLOUD2 pkgs. (8 oz. each) cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
1 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (12 oz.) container Cool Whip, thawed
2 cans (21 oz. each) cherry pie filling
1 prepared angel food cake, torn into bite-size pieces
Combine cream cheese, sugar, milk and vanilla; beat well. Fold in Cool Whip.
Layer in a deep bowl as follows: cream cheese mixture, cake pieces, cream cheese mixture, pie filling; repeat.
VARIATION:Other versions of this recipe mix the angel food cake pieces with the cream cheese mixture. Spread in a serving dish, then top with cherry pie filling. Refrigerate to set before serving.

1 (9 oz.) container Cool Whip, thawed
1 cup cold milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 cup confectioner's sugar
1 medium-size Angel Food cake, torn into chunks
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
Mix Cool Whip, milk and vanilla together. Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar together and add to the Cool Whip mixture.
Spread 1/3 of mixture in a serving dish. Put chunked Angel Food cake in a layer over the cream cheese mixture in dish. Spread remaining cream cheese mixture over cake.
Dot cherry pie filling over top. Refrigerate overnight.
