This was my great - grandmother's recipe who then passed it to my grand-mother and then my aunt. This was a staple of church suppers. I apologize in advance that none of my recipes are for the health concious, but every once and a while we have to splurge.

Ham Loaf

2 lbs. ham, 1 lb. pork ground together
Mix 1c. fresh bread crumbs , 1 c. milk, and a dash pf pepper
Mix the meat and the bread crumb mixture together. Form into a loaf, and place in a pyrex pan large enough so you have about 2 inches all the way around.

Sauce:

1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 c. white vinegar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. water.

Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan and cook on low heat until sugar is melted, and the mix is slightly thickened. Pour it all over the ham loaf and bake at 400 degrees for 1- 1/2 hrs, basting frequently. This too is great with mashed potatoes and cooked fresh carrots.
