My Recipe for Shepherds Pie

brown 1 lb. ground beef, adding sliced mushrooms and diced onion(to taste, I like alot!!) about halfway through the browning. When brown, reduce heat to low, add 2 cans cream of mushroom soup(or 1 family size can), 1 beef boullion cube dissolved in a 1\4 cup of water, and 1 heaping tablespoon of sour cream to hamburger and let simmer for about 5 min. or until hot. Place hamburger mixture in 13x9 cassarole dish and smooth to cover whole dish. Then distribute 1 can of whole kernal corn evenly over hamburger. Then cover that with a 1 or 1 1\2 inch layer of mashed potatoes or frozen hashed browns.(mashed potatoes are preferable) Cover with shredded medium chedder cheese. Cover dish with alum. foil and place in preheated 400 deg. oven for about 20-25 minutes.
