I have tried making Chico’s red sauce numerous times I have found that adding garlic or broth does not match Chico’s simple red tomato sauce the best thing is so simple it’s just cheap plain whole tomatoes pureed add water and salt that’s it! What give Chico’s its flavor is its cheap cheese which I have not yet found and the Green sauce... Which is just boiled jalapenos with salt and blended? That’s why Chico’s is so cheap. Thank God for my mom's great pallet. Viva Chicos Tacos and the Great people of El Paso. Simple things in life are usually the best. Keep that in mind.
