I tried this recipe for Carlos O'Kelly's chili con queso dip, and it was absolutely NOTHING like Carlos O'Kelly's chili con, and yes, I used their salsa. For one thing, it was pink (the red salsa mixed with white sour cream and not enough cheese = pink). For another it tasted just awful. It took a lot more Velveeta to make it even palatable. With double the cheese it was better, but it was still nothing like Carlos' chili con. I finally asked a server, and they wouldn't tell me anything except that it is made with cream of chicken soup. So while this was a great try, it is not a good taste-alike. Try again!
Meanwhile, I'm going to keep looking. . .
