way yummy...somehow i wanted lasagna yesterday.
I keep sausages & burger patties frozen individually, [several small plastic bags inside an expensive freezer zipper lock]
the no-boil lasagna small box for 1.50 has 12 sheets of which i used 3. so i get to have lasagna 4 more times.LASAGNA

INGREDIENTS

3 sheets no-boil lasagna
1 italian sausage
1 ground meat patty (4 oz)
1 small boiling size onion
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tbs oil
14 oz jar of pasta sauce
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 egg
[dash cinnamon]
1-2 slices of mozzarella or 1/4 cup shredded mozzerla
cooking spray

TOOLS
skillet
loaf pan, 8x4 seems better than 9x5
foil

PREP
mince onion
remove sausage meat from casing

DIRECTIONS
saute onion & garlic in oil 1 minute.
add crumbled ground meat and sausage.
saute until all the pink is gone about 3-4 minutes.
add 1/4 cup pasta sauce to pan and turn heat to low.
saute another minute or two until it looses some moisture.

blend the egg with the ricotta and add cinnamon.

spray the loaf pan with cooking spray
pour a few tablespoons of sauce on the bottom of the pan.
layer 1 piece of lasagne, a couple of tablespoons sauce
half the meat mixture, then half the cheese mixture.
another piece of lasagna then more sauce, the meat & cheese.
top with last slice of lasagna.
sauce and mozzarella.

bake covered with foil for 45 minutes.
remove cover last 5 minutes to brown.
let stand 8-9 minutes before serving.

great reheated.
