I am going to expirament today. befroe that this is what I think may have happended: You need more sugar not just the maple syrup, I should have bben more careful here. and since you said it was too moist I would put in less water (buttermilk). did it seem too dese? if so add more salt. I think I am going to try to alter my recipe to sute the taste you were talking aobut .... take care I'll get back to you, have to work this a.m. page<>< My fav. recipe 1.5 lb loaf: 1 cup water (wonder what some buttermillk in there would do?) 2 TLB oil 2 TLB sugar 1 1/2 tea salt 3 cups bread flour 2 1/4 tea yeast put in machine in order given use whatever settings you desire for a 1.5 lb loaf
