Hi Reine; This recipe is from a 1969 Betty Crocker cookbook. The identical recipe is in a much newer edition under the title "Yellow Cake". So I am assuming this is the one you are looking for, STARLIGHT CAKE 2 cups all purpose flour 11/2 cups sugar 31/2 tsps. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1/2 cup shortening (half margarine or butter, softened, if desired) 1 cup milk 1 tsp. vanilla 3 eggs Heat oven to 350, Grease and flour 2 round layer pans or a 9x13 pan. Beat all ingredients in large mixer bowl on low speed, scraping bowl constantly, 30 seconds. Beat on high speed, scraping bowl frequently, 3 minutes. Pour into pan(s). Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, (9x13-40 to 45 minutes) (layers-30 to 35 minutes. Frost as desired. Let me know if this is the right recipe.
