I have this in a notebook that some one gave me years ago ... have not tried it. Am not really sure where it came from . It does not say 'dutch' but des say 'crunch topping'. Maybe it will help?
Toast 3 TABLESPOONS RICE FLOUR to a medium brown in a skillet ; cool. Mix with 3 TABLESPOONS COLD WATER to form a paste. Stir in 3 TEASPOONS PEANUT OIL. Brush gently over shaped and risen loaves. bake about 1 hour. The bread recipe used about 4 cups flour and it said to make 2 small or 1 large loaf.
